    Istanbul: two continents

    Bosphorus cruise and the Spice Bazaar.

    Gallipoli

    The Anzac battlefields. Overnight in Çanakkale.

  5. Day 5

    Troy and Pergamon

    On to Kuşadası.

    Ephesus

    Library of Celsus, the Great Theatre and the House of the Virgin Mary.

    Pamukkale

    To Kaş

    Drive down to the Mediterranean and the harbor town of Kaş.

    Kaş at leisure

    Fly to Cappadocia

    Balloon flight and Cappadocia North

    Sunrise flight, then Göreme Open-Air Museum and Avanos.

    Cappadocia South, fly to Istanbul

    Underground city, then an evening flight to Istanbul.

Good to know

  • Hot-air balloon flights depend on the weather and are confirmed by the authorities on the morning of the flight. If yours is cancelled we will try to rebook on another morning where the itinerary allows.
  • Mosques require modest dress: shoulders and knees covered; women bring a scarf for the head.
  • Some sites (Ephesus, Pamukkale, Cappadocia valleys) involve uneven ground and walking. Tell us about any mobility needs and we'll adapt the plan.
