Turkey Travel FAQ

Planning, booking and travelling in Türkiye (Turkey).

Planning and booking

How does the free itinerary work?

Fill in our Plan My Trip form. A local travel specialist will send you a day-by-day plan with hotel options and a full price within 24 hours. There's no cost and no obligation.

Can I change a ready-made package?

Yes. Every package is a starting point. Add days, swap hotels, skip a city or add a beach stay.

Are your tours private or group tours?

Both. Our small-group culture journeys run on set dates with usually 8 to 12 travellers (maximum 16). Every other trip is private: just you, your guide and your driver. Any small-group journey can also run privately on your own dates.

How far ahead should I book?

For April–October, we suggest 3–6 months ahead, especially for cave hotels in Cappadocia and coastal hotels in summer. Shorter notice is often possible; just ask.

How do I pay?

You pay nothing to get your itinerary. When you decide to book, you confirm with a deposit and pay the balance before you travel. The exact amounts, due dates and accepted payment methods are written in your quote.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation terms are set out in writing in your quote, so you see them before you pay anything. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation.

Do you book international flights?

We take care of everything inside Türkiye, including domestic flights where your itinerary needs them. You book your own international flights, and we can recommend routes and timing so your tour fits them.

Travel in Türkiye

Do I need a visa?

Entry rules depend on your passport and change from time to time. Check the official Republic of Türkiye e-Visa website (evisa.gov.tr) and your government's travel advice before you book. We'll remind you when we confirm your trip.

Is Türkiye safe for tourists?

Millions of visitors travel to Türkiye every year, and the main tourist areas are well used to international guests. As anywhere, use normal city sense with your belongings. Check the Ministry of Foreign Affairs travel advice at mfa.gov.sg and consider eRegistering before you go. Our team is on WhatsApp throughout your trip.

When is the best time to visit?

April–June and September–October: pleasant temperatures, ideal for sightseeing. July–August: hot inland, perfect for the coast, busiest season. November–March: cooler and quieter, good value in Istanbul. December to February can bring snow to Cappadocia, which many visitors from Singapore love.

What currency is used? Do I need cash?

The Turkish lira (TRY). Cards are widely accepted in cities and hotels. Carry some cash for small shops, markets and tips.

What should I wear?

Comfortable walking shoes for ancient sites. For mosques, cover shoulders and knees; women should bring a light scarf for the head. Pack layers for Cappadocia; mornings can be cold even in summer.

Is the hot-air balloon flight included?

It is included in our longer small-group journeys (it says so on the tour page). On other trips we can pre-book one for you. Flights depend on the weather and are approved on the morning; if yours is cancelled you won't be charged for it.

Do your guides speak English well?

Yes. We work with licensed English-speaking guides.

Can you handle mobility needs, diets or travelling with kids?

Yes, please tell us in the form. We'll choose hotels, routes and pacing to suit.

What's the time difference?

Türkiye uses Türkiye Time (UTC+3) all year, 5 hours behind Singapore.

Is food in Türkiye halal?

Most meat in Türkiye is halal and pork is rare. Alcohol is served in many restaurants, so tell us if you prefer places that don't serve it and we'll suggest suitable ones.

Still have questions?
