  1. Day 1

    Arrive in Istanbul

    Transfer to your boutique hotel. Evening free.

  2. Day 2

    Istanbul Old City

    Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapı Palace and the Basilica Cistern.

  3. Day 3

    Istanbul: two continents

    Spice Bazaar and a cruise on the Bosphorus.

  4. Day 4

    Gallipoli

    Anzac Cove, Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair with your guide. Overnight in Çanakkale.

  5. Day 5

    Troy and Pergamon

    The city of the Iliad and the hilltop library city of Pergamon. On to Kuşadası.

  6. Day 6

    Ephesus

    Library of Celsus, the Great Theatre and the House of the Virgin Mary.

  7. Day 7

    Pamukkale day trip

    The white travertines and Hierapolis, back to Kuşadası.

  8. Day 8

    Fly to Cappadocia

    Flight from Izmir to Kayseri, check in to your cave hotel.

  9. Day 9

    Cappadocia North

    Göreme Open-Air Museum, Paşabağ and Avanos. Balloon flight optional.

  10. Day 10

    Cappadocia South, fly to Istanbul

    Underground city and valley walk, evening flight to Istanbul.

  11. Day 11

    Depart

    Transfer to the airport.

Good to know

  • Hot-air balloon flights depend on the weather and are confirmed by the authorities on the morning of the flight. If yours is cancelled we will try to rebook on another morning where the itinerary allows.
  • Mosques require modest dress: shoulders and knees covered; women bring a scarf for the head.
  • Some sites (Ephesus, Pamukkale, Cappadocia valleys) involve uneven ground and walking. Tell us about any mobility needs and we'll adapt the plan.
